Obituary of Doris Gagnon

Gagnon, Mrs. Doris Jeannie May née MacNichol In Ottawa on Monday March 11, 2013 Doris Jeannie May (MacNichol) Gagnon after struggling with cancer left us at the age of 70. She left her beloved husband of nearly 50 years Claude Gagnon who will miss her love and companionship. She will be sadly missed by her daughter Chantal Brideau (Al) and son Michel Gagnon, her grandchildren Stephane Cormier (Cynthia), Amy Thorne (Connor), Eric Brideau (Kristen) and Gabriel Brideau who she loved to spend time with and take to museums and her brothers and sister, Robert MacNichol (Deloris), Diane Malynarski (Orest) and Stewart MacNichol. Also by her brothers-in-law Denis Gagnon, Martin Gagnon (Marie-José), her sisters-in-law Diane Gagnon (Sylvain), Johanne Gagnon (Danny) and her nephews and nieces. Predeceased by her brother Paul MacNichol. Missed also by dear friends, Walsh, Lemay, Smith, Craig, Brisson, Dixon, Patenaude and many more. We will always remember her smile, laugh and loving and giving nature. Her sense of humour and positive outlook on life touched the lives of many. She loved her family, traveling, monarchy (the royals), flowers, music, dancing and having wonderful conversations for hours with family and friends. She signed up in the Air force in August 1961 and was part of the RCAF as a dental assistant. She served in Europe during the 60's in Metz France and received a medal for service in Nato. The funeral service will be held on Saturday April 27, 2013 at the St-Jacques Church in Embrun. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Ottawa Hospital Cancer Centre (737 Parkdale Avenue, 1st floor, Ottawa (ON) K1Y 1J8) would be appreciated.
