Obituary of Bonita Williams
BONITA FRANCES WILLIAMS
June 6, 1965 - December 9, 2015
On Wednesday, December 9 the world became a less interesting place with the passing of Bonita Williams at the Ottawa General Hospital following a well-fought battle with cancer.
Born in St. John's, Newfoundland, Bonita was a force of nature, with a sharp intellect, a quick wit and a generous spirit. After graduating from Memorial University with a degree in Business, Bonita moved to Ottawa, where she embarked on a long and successful careeras a communications professional, culminating in her successful strategic consulting firm, Bonita Communications Inc.
Bonita's many passions in life included writing, interior design, renovating and decorating, gardening, devouring books,long-distance running, debating politics,a little retail therapy, and of course socializing with her close group of family and friends over a generous glass of red wine.
Bonita will be deeply missed by her teammate and love of her life - her husband RandyAdams - along with his daughters Véroniqueand Geneviève, her parents Philomena and Maxwell Williams, sisters Vanessa (Ken), Tracey (Sean), Maxine (Jamie), nephews Kyle and Justin and niece Keira, her large circle of extended family, dear friends and respected clients, and of course her adorable fur babies Bella and Baci who were always near, never far from her heart. Bonita and Randy's dog trainer Cindy once said: "After I die, I want to come back as a Bonita dog".
A special thanks to Bonita's sisters Tracey and Maxine, friends Laura, Patrizia, and Tanis, and the staff of the fifth floor Medical OncologyUnit at the Ottawa HospitalGeneral Campus for their care and compassion.
A celebration of Bonita's well-lived life will be held at a later date with family and friends in the lovely home that she and Randy built together.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Bonita's memory to the Ottawa Hospital Foundation will be gratefully accepted at www.ohfoundation.ca.
