It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Claudio Marcogliese on July 20, 2026, at the age of 56.

Born in Montreal on June 3, 1970, Claudio faced challenges from his earliest days and met them, throughout his life, with a quiet endurance.

Above all, Claudio was his mother's son; they both shared an interest in haute couture. He and Antonietta spoke almost every day, and no call between them ever ended without “I love you.” Always checking in with her and asking about her day, he had a love for her that never wavered, whatever else he was facing. He was, to the end, a devoted son.

Growing up, Claudio and Mario were never far from each other. The two of them, side by side wherever life took them, are now reunited again.

Claudio is survived by his loving mother, Antonietta Iasenzaniro; his brother, Mike; his sister, Maria Assunta (David Bellefeuille); and his niece, Sara Francis Bellefeuille (Nathan Bols). He was predeceased by his father, Tony (September 18, 2010), and his dear brother, Mario (May 8, 2018).

He will be remembered for his gentle nature, his loyalty, and the love and support he never stopped giving his mother.

Family and friends are invited to gather at the Laurent Hill Funeral Home,

874 Notre Dame Street, Embrun, Ontario K0A 1W0,

on Sunday, August 2, 2026.

Viewing from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

A service will be held in the chapel of Laurent Hill Funeral Home from 1 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Food and beverages will be served after the service.
