Obituary of Gisèle Legault

C’est avec une grande tristesse que nous vous annonçons le décès de Mme. Gisèle Legault (née Piché), décédée paisiblement le 23 décembre 2025 à l'âge de 96 ans.

Elle fut prédécédée par Ernest son époux de 62 ans.

Elle laisse dans le deuil ses enfants; Lucie (François Ranger), Diane (François Lafrance), Louise (Roly Saul) et Normand, ses petits-enfants; Pascal, Éric et Karine Lafrance, et Étienne et Mathieu Ranger, ses 5 arrière-petits-enfants, son beau-frère; Maurice Legault, ainsi que plusieurs, nièces, neveux, cousins, cousines, membres de famille et ami(e)s.

Prédécédée par ses parents Lévi et Irène (née Clavel) Piché, et par son frère Gérard (feu Gilberte Quesnel) et sa sœur Sr. Anita.

La famille sera présente à l'église dès 10h30 pour recevoir vos condoléances. Un service religieux sera célébré à la Paroisse Notre-Dame-du-Rosaire de Crysler, jeudi le 15 janvier 2026 à 11h. Suivi par une réception au Centre Communautaire de Crysler.

Vos marques de sympathie peuvent se traduire par un don à l’Institut de cardiologie de l’Université d’Ottawa.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gisèle Legault (née Piché), who passed peacefully on December 23, 2025, at the age of 96.

She was predeceased by Ernest, her husband of 62 years.

Loving mother of Lucie (François Ranger), Diane (François Lafrance), Louise (Roly Saul), and Normand.

Adored grandmother of Pascal, Éric and Karine Lafrance, and Étienne and Mathieu Ranger.

Cherished great-grandmother of 5.

Dear sister-in-law of Maurice Legault.

Gisèle will be missed by many, nieces, nephews, cousins, family members and friends.

Predeceased by her parents Lévi and Irène (née Clavel) Piché, and by her siblings Gérard (late Gilberte Quesnel) and Sr. Anita.

The family will be present at the church from 10:30 a.m. to receive your condolences. A religious service will be celebrated in Our Lady of the Rosary Parish of Crylser, on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at 11 a.m. A reception will follow at the Crysler Community Centre.

Donations to the University of Ottawa Heart Institute would be appreciated by the family.
