Obituary of Wilfried Gondermann

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Mr. Wilfried Gondermann on October 31, 2025, at the age of 74.

Beloved husband of 54 years to Heidi Gondermann (née Thiele).  Loving father of Sandra (Douglas), Thorsten (Jennifer) and Kristina (Justin) and the late Steffen.  Proud grandfather of Sabrina (Dave), Memphis, Emma, Chloe and Elena; and great grandfather of Owen.  Dear brother of Gerd (Susanne), Sabine (Frank), Dirk (Tanja) and Kirsten.

Wilf possessed a rare and genuine kindness that touched everyone he met. He was a truly wonderful listener, known for his calm presence and ability to offer unconditional support without judgment. His warmth, generosity of spirit, and quiet strength made him a cherished friend, a wise mentor, and the beloved cornerstone of his family.

Wilf will be fondly remembered by his extended family in Canada and Germany; his former colleagues at Rideau Carleton Raceway, where he worked as the Facility Manager; and by his many friends and neighbours.

 A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

 In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
